Terms of Purchase

Last updated: September 8, 2026

These Terms of Purchase apply to every VIP experience, fan add-on, or other product you purchase through Barricade, a platform operated by John Gomez Creative LLC. By completing checkout, you agree to these terms. They are short and written in plain English on purpose.

What you're buying

Barricade is a platform that artists use to sell VIP experiences directly to their fans. When you buy on Barricade, you are buying an experience offered by the artist (or their team), not by Barricade. We handle the checkout, the confirmation emails, the check-in process, and customer service routing — the experience itself is delivered by the artist.

Unless the listing says otherwise, your purchase does not include admission to the show. You need a separate ticket from the venue or promoter to get in. Check the listing before you buy.

Price and fees

The price shown is the price you pay. At checkout we itemize:

— The face price set by the artist.
— A card processing fee, shown at checkout, that covers what Stripe charges to process the payment. Barricade doesn't add a markup.
— Applicable sales tax, where required by law.

That's the full total. There are no additional fees added later.

Non-refundable (with one important exception)

VIP experiences and add-ons are non-refundable. This is standard across the live music industry. The experience is tied to a specific show on a specific date with limited capacity — when you buy, your spot is reserved and the artist is planning around you.

The exception: if the show is cancelled, you get a full refund. If the artist cancels the show, you'll be refunded in full to the payment method you used at checkout, typically within a few business days. You get back everything you paid, including the processing fee — the refund is never short.

If the show is postponed or rescheduled, your purchase is automatically honored for the new date. If the new date doesn't work for you, contact us and we'll figure it out on a case-by-case basis.

Can't make it? Transfer your ticket.

Life happens. If you can't attend, you can transfer your purchase to a friend one time, for free, using the transfer link in your purchase confirmation email. The recipient gets their own confirmation email and all the check-in details. The original purchase is voided and cannot be transferred again.

Transferring is fast, self-serve, and does not require asking anyone for permission. It is the intended alternative to a refund.

Check-in and what to expect at the show

Your purchase confirmation email includes details about your experience. If the artist hasn't set the VIP check-in time yet when you purchase, we'll send you a separate email as soon as they do — usually a few days to a few weeks before the show.

On the day of the show, bring the confirmation email (digital or printed); you may be asked for a photo ID matching the name on the purchase. The artist's team will check you in. If you transferred your purchase, the recipient's name is what matters.

Please arrive on time. Missing the VIP check-in window typically means missing the experience. If you run into a problem at the venue, contact us immediately at tickets@barricade.live and we'll try to help.

Who can buy and attend

You must be 18 or older to make a purchase on Barricade. If the experience is open to minors, a minor may attend with a parent or legal guardian who is responsible for them — check the listing, and ask the artist's team if it isn't clear. The artist and venue set and enforce any age restrictions, and no refund is owed if you or your guest can't attend because of one.

Attending the experience

The artist (or their team) organizes, staffs, and runs the experience. Barricade is not present at the venue and does not control the venue, security, crowd, schedule, or what happens during the experience. Questions about access, safety, or what's included are the artist's to answer, and we'll route you to them.

Live events carry inherent risks — crowds, noise, movement, weather, and the actions of other people. By attending, you voluntarily accept those risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Barricade, its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claim for personal injury, illness, death, or property damage arising from your attendance at or participation in an experience. This release does not apply to harm caused by Barricade's own gross negligence or willful misconduct, and it does not limit any claim you may have against the artist, the venue, or anyone else responsible for the experience.

You agree to follow the venue's rules and the reasonable instructions of the artist's team and venue staff. The artist or venue may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is disruptive, unsafe, intoxicated, or in breach of venue rules, without a refund. Barricade is not responsible if you are refused entry or removed.

Messages from the artist

Messages you receive about your purchase come from two places. Barricade sends the transactional ones — confirmation, check-in details, reminders, and show changes — under the consent you gave at checkout. The artist and their team may also message you through Barricade about the show, and if you separately opted in, about their news and drops. Those messages are written by the artist's team, not by Barricade; Barricade transmits them and does not review them before they're sent.

If anything you receive through Barricade is inappropriate, threatening, or makes you uncomfortable — from anyone — tell us at tickets@barricade.live. We take it seriously, we'll act on it, and reporting it never affects your purchase.

If the experience changes

Live shows move. Check-in times shift, a perk gets swapped for something comparable, the running order changes, the venue moves rooms. Changes like these that don't materially change what you bought are not grounds for a refund, and the artist's team will tell you about them through Barricade. If a show is postponed, your purchase carries over to the new date; if it's cancelled, you're refunded in full. Anything in between, contact us and we'll work it out with the artist.

Photos and recording

Meet-and-greets and VIP moments are often photographed or filmed by the artist's team, and you may appear in that content. By attending, you agree that the artist may use photos and video from the experience that include you, in connection with the artist's music, shows, and promotion, without payment to you. If you'd rather not be included, tell the artist's team at check-in and they'll do their best to accommodate you. Photos the artist's team takes of you as a perk of the experience are yours to keep and share.

Before you call your bank

If something goes wrong with your purchase — the email didn't arrive, the experience wasn't what you expected, you can't reach the artist, anything — please contact us first at tickets@barricade.live. We read every message and we respond quickly. Most issues can be solved the same day.

We ask this because disputing a charge with your bank without contacting us first is a costly, slow process for everyone — you, the artist, and us — and it rarely leads to a better outcome than just emailing us. We have every incentive to make it right because our business depends on fans trusting the platform.

If you do initiate a chargeback, you may be ineligible for the free transfer option, and you agree that Barricade may provide your purchase information, delivery records, and communication history to your bank as evidence in responding to the dispute.

Your data

Barricade keeps your purchase information and contact details so we can deliver the experience, communicate with you about the show, and help you if something goes wrong. We do not sell your data to advertisers. The artist whose experience you bought is the seller and has direct access to the purchaser record for their show: they can use your contact information to deliver the experience and, by email, to tell you about their music, shows, and news (every such email includes a way to unsubscribe). Marketing texts from the artist are sent only if you opted in to them at checkout. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

You can request deletion of your data by emailing tickets@barricade.live, subject to any legal retention requirements.

No resale or scalping

Your purchase is a license to attend the experience, not a transferable property right. Other than the one free transfer described above, you may not resell, auction, or otherwise transfer your purchase. Purchases obtained through scalping or resale are void.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Barricade to commit fraud, to purchase in someone else's name without permission, to abuse refund or transfer policies, or to harass artists, staff, or other fans. We may cancel purchases associated with prohibited activity.

For artists and teams selling on Barricade

Barricade is a platform, not the seller. Sales are paid to the artist's own Stripe account at the time of purchase, less Barricade's platform fee. Because the artist receives the money up front, the artist is responsible for refunds on any show they cancel or materially change. When a show is cancelled, Barricade issues fan refunds automatically and recovers the refunded amounts from the artist's Stripe balance or, if the balance is insufficient, from future sales or by invoice. Artists agree to keep their Stripe account in good standing for the duration of any tour with active sales.

Limitation of liability

Barricade provides the platform “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barricade's total liability to you for anything arising out of these terms or your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase, and Barricade is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Disputes about the experience itself — what was delivered, how it went, what was promised — are between you and the artist; you release Barricade from claims arising out of those disputes. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including any rights you have under consumer protection laws.

Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If you have a problem, contact us first — almost everything gets resolved in a conversation. If it can't be, you and Barricade agree to resolve the dispute on an individual basis, either in small claims court or through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, and not as part of a class or representative action. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing tickets@barricade.live within 30 days of your first purchase; opting out doesn't affect anything else in these terms. Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited by law where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Purchase from time to time. Changes apply only to purchases made after the change takes effect. If you have an active purchase, the terms in effect when you bought apply to that purchase.
